Is Having Non Penetrative Sex With A Person Having HIV Infection Dangerous?
I met a stranger guy and we end up in bed, i hold his penis and i feel my hands became wet, he put mine in his mouth, and i come out and some goes inside his mouth, we had a light kissing but im sure i got his saliva inside my mouth, i have a mouth sore that day. After that, he told me he is hiv positive. I am very scared that i may get the virus because he sucked mine and he kissed me and i have a mouth sore. I went to the doctor and started taking truvada and isentress after 50hours of that incident. Im still very worried because i am a family man and i am very guilty for what happen. Please advise. Thank you so much. Kindly send your reply in my e mail.
However, there is extremely little chance, if any, that you may get HIV in the said situation.
In fact, HIV is not transmitted through saliva. The very remote possibility is that if both you had oral ulcer hence his blood mixed with his saliva and then yours.
So by kissing the chance of transmitting HIV is almost negligible. The chance is further diminished by taking the drugs. So you may just relax, complete your course and don't worry a lot.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
