Is Having Swelling In Feet And Ankles With Red Splotches On Ankle While Flying Normal?

I had severe swelling of my feet and ankles while flying a long distance. I also had red splotches appear on my ankle area and above. These are fading but have not gone away and look like broken blood vessels. Is this normal? I am a 55 year old female and flew from Poland to the US....

I really appreciate your concern, such swelling could be due to blood circulation disturbances and mostly happening with the standing or sitting position for long time some time with the low hemoglobin this could be more prominent, this is not because of the broken vessels, hope this information helps, take care.
