Is Having Yeast Infection Post Intercourse Normal?

Hello I had sex with the guy I was seeing. After when we were cleaning up we notice heavy white discharge. In the morning I started to have itching. I took the test and indeed found out it was a yeast infection. Is it common to have one out if the blue?

I have gone through your query. It is possible to get yeast infection from your partner during intercourse. Dysbacteriosis or PH changes in vagina will make more prone for yeast infections. You can apply clotrimazole cream ( monistat ) which is available as over the counter for this. Using intimate wash regularly to normalize vaginal bacterial flora and PH will be helpful to prevent getting such infections.
