Is Heartburn And Dry Mouth Related With Lichen Sclerosus?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... I am a postmenopausal women with what my doctor thinks is genital lichen sclerosus. Recently I began clobetasol and it's helping greatly with the burning. I am however exeriencing heartburn and dry mouth...is this something that goes along with this chronic condition?

Hi.
Thanks for query.
As per your condition of lichen sclerosus, it is just a skin disease and has no relation to your dry-mouth and heart burn.
My treatment advice-
1. Continue clobetasol cream , but use it for 5 days a week.
2. Use tacrolimus 0.1% ointment for 2 days/ week.
3. Dry mouth and heart-burn may be a post-menopausal change. So consult a physician.
