Is Heated Olive Oil Advisable For Pain In Ear?

I have an earache, I am currently trying to relieve pain and I saw two different things online. A couple pages suggested a few drops of warm olive oil, and another site said to put no liquid or oil into your ear, I m not sure what to do. I ve tried pain medication, a heating pad, everything...

Earache occurs due to many causes. If it occurs due to wax deposition in ear the olive oil can be used. Olive oil warmly heated is used.
Olive oil dissolves wax and make wax softer so it is easily removed from ear. So my advise is that you can try olive oil once and earache relieved then OK. Otherwise consult doctor to find the precipitated cause.
