Is Heavy Clot Discharge Normal After Long Gap Of Periods?

I had bariatric surgery in October, and before that hadn't had my period in probably 10 years or so. I just got my period back last week after 90 pounds of weight loss. However last night it started clotting heavily and I'm now releasing a clot about every hour today. Is this normal?
