Is Hepatitis B Curable ?

Hi good day, i would like to ask about the result of my brothers sgpt test, the result is 47.2, he has an hepatitis b , i want to know more about the result if its high risk to his health and if there is a cure for that. i am worrying about if there is a liver damage or enlargement due to that result.... thank you very much.....

The normal range may vary slightly from lab to lab.(please see the lab reading for normal).Levels are higher if you have hepatitis,liver damage from alcohol,liver failure from drugs.This part of the liver tests are only one part of a larger picture that takes into account your medical history and current health. Sometimes a test needs to be repeated to check the first result. Since he has hepatitis it is this which is causing the elevated levels.They should come done once hepatitis settles .
