Is Hernia Related With Swelling In Groin And Abdominal Area?

hi, i am a 20 abt 5'3" and no medical history yr old female and my groin area is swollen and my lower abdomen is swollen. i have my menstruation at the time but this has never happened before. i recently started the gym about two weeks now but i dont believe its a hernia because i dont feel any pain. is this swelling normal? should i be worried?
