Is Herpes Curable With Proper Treatment?

hello doctors, I am 28 and never had unprotected sex with anyone apart from wife. However few times there were oral sex. 2 days back I saw small granular particles with itching. I consulted skin doc and he said it is likely herpes.Is this curable? How to get proper treatment?
