General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

6 to 8 pus cells in stool is not alarming

In any gastrointestinal infection pus cells can be present in stool

Occult blood positive in stool in ulcerative disease, gastric ulcer, amebiasis, hookworm infection, inflammatory bowel disease etc...

Considering it as infection your child prescribed antibiotic course

But if no improvement seen them stool culture done for further work up and to choose appropriate antibiotic...

Maintain hydration with lots of water

And repeat stool again for parasite detection with concentration technique in stool for rule out parasite infection before doing culture

Avoid excess spicy foods and fatty meals

Consult nearby doctor for examination and discuss all these
