Is High Fever And Sore Throat Sign For Influenza Fever?

My daughter has a temp of 35.5 with 2 heavy blankets on......she was lower last night so I gave her a warm bath clean dry Jammie s ( she is very sweaty) wrappe,d her in a blanket and took her temp after 15 min and she was down to 33.4. Why she has been sick with influenza body aches and she had a very sore throat.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

Your daughter having sore throat, it might lead bronchitis like upper respiratory tract infections....

Her work up should be done as follow....
-Auscultation
-CBC
-throat swab or ASO titre according to need

She might given suitable antibiotic and decongestant like phenylephrine for this...

Vitamin C lozenges chewed...

If fever periodic and relieved by intermittent sweating than peripheral smear examination done for rule out malaria parasites..

Drink more water and fruit juice

For fever paracetamol prescribed

Take care

Consult physician or pediatrician (if age less than 14) for examination....
