Is Hospitalization Required For Patients With MRSA Infection?

I ve just been told that test results show that I have a MRSA infection in my toe. Is there any purpose to be served by going to the ER (which is what my doctor s office told me to do)? I m not anxious to be in the hospital, because that seems to be where most MRSA infections origiante! Any advice?

Welcome at HCM
I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns.
In documented MRSA infection, the patient need to be admitted in hospital in isolation. Go to ER and meet your doctor do not delay your admission in hospital.
Meanwhile stay calm.
Get well soon.
Hope your query is adequately addressed if you still have any feel free to ask.
Regards
Dr Saad Sultan
