Is Hysterectomy The Only Option To Get Rid Of Multiple Uterine Fibroids?

Hello, I have an enlarged uterus , like I am pregnant in week 12. I also have multiple fibroids. I had a colonscopy done and he find a bulging colon at the sacrum. He find a hard like cyst in my colon, he took a biopsi and come out clear. He is not sure what it is, but think it must be my fibroids or uterus who bulge in to my colon. Is it the only option to have a hysterectomy done? I need a open abdomen hysterectomy, because for all my big fibroids. I am 52 year old. I have problem with my stool and stomach pain once in a while.
Thank you.

Hi,

Hysterectomy is the best option as you have completed your family and nearing menopause. If you want to preserve the uterus. You can consider for a procedure like a myomectomy where uterus will be kept intact.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
