Is Ibuprofen Advisable For Headache Due To Injury?

Hi. I hit my head on the car door about 26 hours ago. The hit was pretty hard. It was on my forehead above my left eye. I had no headache or nausea or vomiting. 26 hours later I have a slight headache over my right forehead and a little headache at the site of the impact. Still no nausea or vomiting. Should I take an ibuprofen for my headache?

Hi,

Headache secondary to local injury and no vomiting or nausea or loss of consciousness is usually not worrisome. You can take ibuprofen for such headache.with ibuprofen chances of acidity so you can take it after food. But if headache persist then need to do investigate it. If any symptoms like nausea, vomiting, bleeding from ear, nose or mouth, loss of consciousness are there then need to consult immediately.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vipul Prajapati
