Is Implantation Bleeding A Symptom Of Pregnancy?

Hi, I am a 20 y/o female who believes she may be pregnant. My last menstrual cycle started on 6/4/16 and ended 6/7/16. I ve had regular periods since I got off the shot almost 4 years ago. For the whole month of July and the rest of June, I had no period. I had no cramping, but I was always tired and nausea all July long. And here it is the 4th of August, and I m bleeding only when I wipe, and it s not heavy either. I ve been sexually active at least 20-25 times between the first day of my last period until the 1st of this month. Could I be pregnant?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Because you have missed your periods for almost two months, you will need to have a pregnancy test to make sure if you are pregnant or not. The most common cause of period delay in women of fertile age is pregnancy, this is why a pregnancy urinary test is necessary in your case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
