Is Increased Levithroxin Dosage Safe When Thyroid Levels Elevate?

I an on Levithroxin because 20 years ago I had hyperthyroidism and had my thyroid killed with some radioactive dye. Recently, my thyroid levels went way up to 9.5. My doctor just recently changed my dose from 100 mg. to 125 mg. Is this correct? If my thyroid levels went up, shouldn t my medication dose be lowered?

Hello,

Actually we are testing TSH level for followup. High TSH level indicates low thyroid hormone and hypothyroidism. So when TSH level is high, thyroxine dose must be increased.
