General & Family Physician 's  Response
Increased urinary frequency may be due to urinary retention which is a very common side effect of Norpramin. This is an anti-depressant. Other safer anti-depressants like fluoxetine, citalopram or escitalopram are available. These newer anti-depressants are very safe. But these are prescription based medicines. Therefore, discuss with your doctor about this. He/she will change medicine.
Advice
1.     Fluoxetine or citalopram for depression
2.     Stop smoking, alcohol and caffeine if you are consuming
3.     Appreciate your special qualities
4.     Take yourself positively
5.     Don’t compare yourself to others
6.     Forget the past
7.     Stop worrying
8.     Schedule enjoyable events and activities
9.     Play with children and talk with elderly
10.     Exercise – at least ½ hour in a day for 4 – 5 days in a week
11.     Practice meditation
12.     Discuss your problem with your family
