Is Increasing Blurriness In The Left Eye Along With Stickiness Due To Optic Neuritis?

I am wondering if I am experiencing optic neuritis. I have MS and seem to be currently experiencing a flare. My left eye is becoming increasingly blurry and feels sticky and like something is in it. Also, my eye hurts, especially on the bottom of the eye, under the eye, and at my cheek bone.

Hi,

Optic neuritis can cause blurry vision. Stickiness may be due to discharge. Optic neuritis does not cause discharge and stickiness. Kindly get examined physically once.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Gopi Krishna, Ophthalmologist
