Is Infection Due To Cat Bite Increasing Due To IGA Deficiency?

Yes, my son in law is IGA deficient and he has had a cat bite him last night. The infection is up his arm past his elbow. He is in the hospital right now, but the doctor said that he has never seen an infection go so fast. Is it because of his deficiency? They do have him on double strength antibiotic, but they are not sure if it is in the bone.
