Is Infection Possible Post Burning Off The Moles On Face?

I had 4 moles burned off of my face a couple days ago from a double board certified plastic surgeon. He said to only keep bandaids on for 24 hours and to apply ointment a couple times a day. I have taken my bandaids off (but only wear them when I sleep or leave the house). If there is infection, how will I know? Also is it okay to exercise/sweat

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Infection at site of excision / cautery of moles on face is unlikely if proper measures are taken to avoid infection.
In your case your doctor has advised you to apply a band-aids which will prevent infection.
However, if infection does occur, it is characterized by pain, redness and at times accumulation of pus.
In case any of these symptoms - redness, pain or pus collection, please consult your doctor at the earliest.
In such case, antibiotic treatment and local disinfection of the infected site with antibiotic ointment is also required.

Thanks and take care
