Is Inhalation Of Paint Fumes A Cause For Concern?

Husband has been using goof off from an arousal can in the house for a paint spill on the carpet. He sprayed it last about an hour ago but I can still smell it when I go inside. Windows are open and fans are on. Is it safe to go in even though I smell it?

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query pain fumes accidental inhalation can be toxic as it contains polyurethane which is toxic. There are several harmful substances used in paints, depending on type of paint being used such as volatile organic compounds, known as VOCs, which are cause of bad health.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to wash face properly with plenty of water and keep on inhaling fresh air. If any symptoms occurs consult doctor without any delay and get complete examination done and start treatment accordingly because condition sometimes become complicated.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
