Hello,
Thank you for your query.
Yes it is a cause for concern.
Even if it was Bpa free the toxic fumes can cause inflammation in the lung
I recommend :
- a physician consult for all the adults in the house at the time of the incident and
pediatrician consult for your son.
- if and after the doctor clears you all, watch for signs of any breathing difficulty,
headaches discoloration of the tongue, irritability or unusual sleepiness or crying for your baby.
Please remember to never leave the stove or any electric item on unattended, even if you have enough to visit the restroom for 5mins.
I'm glad that all of you are OK.
The most common
injury after inhaling smoke fumes is throat and lung swelling, which can make it difficult to breathe.
Hence it is important for a doctor to see all of you and please follow their instructions carefully.
Hope this helps.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you all good health
