                                                                Hi... There is no difference between taking insulin or oral drugs... They are given only to control the blood sugars.. Infact insulin has better hypoglycemic control than oral drugs... Diabetes is considered as a serious problem when there are complications secondary to it or when the diabetes is uncontrolled and not based on the need for insulin.. Of course the only disadvantage being the prick.. Otherwise it is completely safe...
