Hello,
you haven't mentioned some important information about your medical history but I'll try to give you the basic directions.
First of all
diabetes treatment is not only about
insulin or other drugs but it has also a lot to do with lifestyle changes.
A healthy diet is essential and can't be replaced by any medication.
Exercise helps as much as a drug.
Insulin is definitely the most efficient treatment because it has no limits. Pills have a limited ability to reduce blood sugar, which can't be exceeded.
Judging from your fasting
glucose, it's likely that you'll need insulin even if you do all you can with diet and exercise.
Your glycosylated
hemoglobin would be very useful to know. It has a lot to do with drug choice.
If you're on a healthy diet, you're exercising every day and have tried
antidiabetic pills then insulin is the only solution.
I hope I've given you something to consider.
If you have further questions on the subject, I'll be glad to answer.
Kind Regards!
