Is Intercourse Safe During 23 Weeks Pregnancy?

Hi dr Samuel, I'm 23 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I'm wondering if "doggy style" sex is are as I felt some air come out of me after intercourse. Also, intercourse was painful for me this time, it felt like my husband was hitting something and he can't fully penetrate me?

Intercourse is allowed in a normal pregnancy only so far as it does not cause pain or bleeding. If there is a problem in penetration, do not indulge in this act. Better consult an obstetrician for a scan and internal examination to assure everything is okay with you and the baby.
