Is Irregular Period Despite Completing Primolut-N Dosage A Serious Concern?
Hi, I use to have irregular period, but after visiting my doctor she said I should start taking folic acid 400mg but I was taking it 800mg. I saw my period on 6th of October 2022, then I saw it again on 18th of that same October that is after 13 days, then I miss my period in November and my pregnancy test came out negative, then my doctor suggested primolut N which I have completed the dosage but yet no period
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Pregnancy test is reliably positive after 8 days delay in expected date of periods. After Primolut-N pills, periods would follow within 8-10 days after last pill. Please wait for periods till then. If it does not come even after recommended time, you need investigations for hormonal imbalance. Consult your gynecologist for it.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha, General & Family Physician
