Is It A Bad Sign If A Woman Ovulate From One Ovary?

Hi, Is it a bad sign if a woman only ovulates from one ovary most of the time? I can t remember ovulating from my left ovary for at least six months. I m not trying to get pregnant, but I just wanted to know for future reference and to look out for my health.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
It is a misconception what you are having that a woman only ovulates from one ovary.
Most of the times, ovulation takes place from both the ovaries alternately in each cycle. Sometimes, one of the ovaries might dominate to produce eggs continuously. But it may happen only for sometime.
Ovualtion is dependent on many factors like hormones, nutrition, emotions and environmental factors as well.
Hope the information provided is clear.
All the best.
