Is It A Cause Of Concern When Expected Mother Have A Weak Placenta ?

i am 16 weeks pregnant doctor told me i have a problem of weak placenta its in a side below , and suggested me not to climb the step, not to lift any haevy things ,not to walk to much it will be alright ,pl guide me is this sure ? any problem in this ? is there any problem for babies development
