Is It A Matter Of Concern If Having A Knot In The Middle After Being Hurt While Shooting With A Rifle?

Hi, My name is Katherine & I am on the Armed Drill Team & I hit myself with the rifle by doing a side ninja and I ended up hitting myself & now I have a big bruise & this knot in the middle, Its been a week & it got worser But just today it looks better but the knot is still there. I am concerned about this

Thank you for the query.

If the knot is painful, redness and swollen skin is present, blood accumulation due to recent injury might be present. Such blood if left untreated can turn into abscess and be a source of serious infection.
That is why I suggest you to consult a doctor with it and have soft tissues ultrasound. If there are any bones in this area, also X-ray should be done to rule out any fractures.
