Is It A Matter Of Worry If The Skin Around My Mole Does Not Tan ?

I have a mole on my face and recently went on holiday. When I came back I realised the skin around the mole didn t tan and also when I put fake tan on it doesn t stick to that area. Is this ok or should I get it checked?

Hi dear,
Its normal thing only in medical terms it is known as meyersons phenomenon it occurs due to immunological reaction of mole by the body .
There is hypopigmentation around the mole that developes.
You need not worry about it.
Only thing is that you must get it checked to rule out possibility of melanoma.
Take care.
