Is It A Sign Of Labor Pain To Have A Back Pain When I Bend After Getting Into Preterm Labor?
I am 30 Weeks pregnant and am on complete bed rest as off last week because I started going into preterm labor and was 1cm dilated. I have been feeling like her head is grinding on my cervix when I walk to the bathroom or bend over, and a lot of pressure down there as well as horriable back pain that is constantly there and sends me into tears. I also have been having slight contractions. IS this a sign that labour is coming, or I need to go to the ER to get check to make sure im not dialting again, or should I just wait and see my doctor?
Hi. You should see your dr. immediately as you were 1cm dilated 1 week back and with uterus tightening and feeling contractions with pressure feelings below, you must get your internal ex. done once and see if all is well. Sometimes back pain can be a part of cervical dilatation or it can also be due to strain on back muscles due to stretching of uterus or some nerve root pressure. Your dr. may give you some inj. for foetal lung maturity in advance if you are likely to deliver early. So, please report to your dr. Thanks.
