Is It Advisable To Bear Child Or Abortion After Missing Treatment For Positive Rubella?

I have torch positive rubella. This test was done in may2012. I had miss carriage that time. Doc advised me not to conceive before doing the treatment course for 3 months. But I didn't do the course. I m less than one month pregnant again. Is it safe to bear a child. Or Do this test again or go for abortion before getting into further complications. Pls advise. Just for you to know I have 3 yrs old kid.

At this stage, you should go first for the TORCH titre tests and based on the results, decide on the further course of action. If the results suggest active infection, you need to undergo treatment and also consider an abortion; otherwise, you can safely continue the pregnancy as old exposure usually results in life-long immunity. Please monitor the pregnancy regularly, if you decide to continue, with anomaly scans done at stipulated intervals. Please consult a specialist in high risk pregnancy for further care. Wish you safe motherhood.
