Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is It Advisable To Continue Bactrim And Hydromet For Sinusitis And Bronchitis?
Yes… I have been on Bactrim and Hydromet for sinusitis and bronchitis. My cough had been nice and loose but now is tight and I have excessive salivation and drainage. Your recommendation?? Go back on Bactrim for another week, use Mucinex or what do you recommend?? Thank you for any help you can recommend.
So if there is no fever, I will advise you to stop all medicines and just take plain steam 4 times a day. Drink lukewarm water and do gargles. That will help you to recover in 3 to 4 days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Loveleen Sharma, General & Family Physician
