Is It Advisable To Have Implantation Of Toe Finger As Thumb?

hi doctor i'm sofia i admit my query bout my mom's major accident 6 mths back and lost her thumb - left hand.. so she got her treatment in stanley medical college hospital by dr.krishnamoorthy's asst surgeons.

the operation was they inserted her thumb inside the stomach flesh for tissue plantation for 21 days they took some skin frm her theighs also for rest of the injured area... they some cap inside her thumb and operated and waited for the rest fingers to get activation they also gave proper physiotherphy training too.... nw rest 4 fingers got avtivation and they advised her for operation for plantation of thumb... means to replace the toe finger as thumb.... but my doubt is whether it will get activation or she can able to support things by the new thumb... is that advisable...???????
