Is It Advisable To Keep Exercising When Suffering From Trombosed External Hemorrhoid?

I have a trombosed external Hemorrhoid. Using the usual over the counter cream suppositories. I am an avid jogger, should I keep exercising to help stomulate blood flow or keep away from it until it clears up (received conflicting advise from health professionals)

Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

An already thrombosed hemorrhoid will NOT clear up by increasing the circulation. Excision of the external hemorrhoid would be the best option, as the protruding part will always continue to cause discomfort in the anus.

You should however, continue with your exercises for overall benefit to the body.

Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.

Take care
