Is It Advisable To Play If You Are On Warfarin?

Hi,

I had open heart surgery 4 years ago for an anerysum and aortic valve surgery. I had a mechanical valve fitted. I am on blood pressure tablets and warfarin. I realise I need to be much fitter and my job doesnt help but last week a friend asked me to play 6 a side football. I thought this would be a good idea to keep fit.I ran around for the 13 minute first half and was shattered but ok. I had done a week of light ten minute jogging before this for about a week to prepare. There is another match this Tuesday and I think it would be better if I only palayed for 2 or 3 minutes at the end of each half. Is it a good idea to play or do you think I shouldnt because Im on warfarin and blood pressure tablets? I am 43 years old.

Thanks very much

Regards

Darren
