Is It Advisable To Remove Benign Tumour From Forehead?
I have a bump, very small on the top of my forehead. It does not feel like a pimple but rather like a hard bump on my skull, the size of a bean. My dad, deceased, a large fatty bump on his forehead that he had removed. It was benign. Maybe I ve had this longer than 4-6 weeks but haven t noticed. It does not hurt.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
If you have a small bump on your forehead and you are unsure what it is, it is best to consult with a healthcare provider. They can examine the bump and determine if it is something that requires medical attention. In some cases, a small bump may be a benign tumor, also known as a lipoma, which is usually harmless but can grow larger over time. If it is a lipoma, your healthcare provider may recommend removing it if it is causing discomfort, cosmetic concerns, or if it is growing.
In general, the decision to remove a benign tumor depends on several factors, including the size and location of the tumor, as well as any symptoms or concerns you may have. Your healthcare provider will be able to discuss the potential risks and benefits of removal with you and help you make an informed decision.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
