Hi,

Telma 80-H is a combination of two medications telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide commonly prescribed for the effective control of high blood pressure.

Whereas Telma-AM H 80 is combination of three medications telmisartan, amlodipine and hydrochlorothiazide also commonly prescribed for the effective control of poorly controlled blood pressure with the use of telma 80-H or other similar medications.

By taking an extra blood pressure lowering drug amlodipine inadvertently you might develop very low blood pressure (hypotension), increased heart beats, palpitations, dizziness, flushing, constipation and swelling of the feet and ankle.

So, in view of the above I advise you to stop taking telma-AMH 80 immediately and start taking telma-80 H again.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
