Is It Advisable To Use Birth Control Pills At The Age Of 50?
I am 51 years old in good health. My physician advised I may want to think about getting off the birth control pill. Just wanting to know what dangers there are being on the pill after 50. I do plan on getting off the pill in January. Also, what are my chances of getting pregnant at this age?
Hi, It is not advisable to take oral contraceptive pills at this age. After stopping pills if your period is regular or irregular there is always a risk of having pregnancy. So upto menopause be careful about pregnancy and use other contraceptive measures. Ok and take care.
