Is It Advisable To Wear A Mild Compression Sock Over Lower Leg Hematoma?

Is it OK to wear a mild compression sock over a lower leg hematoma. Injury occurred nearly 3 weeks ago with only slight reduction in hematoma size. I ordinarily wear mid-range compression socks and between the injury and not wearing the compression sock both foot and lower leg are swollen a bit. Thank you.
