Is It Advised To Use Triple Action Cream To Treat Insect Bites ?

can i use a triple action cream to treat insect bies which are itchy and inflammed i went into a forest area in the early hours of the morning and got bitten by some small and tiny insects which are difficult to see. i have bites all over my forearm and my forehead as i was in short sleeves. the bites are now itchy and inflammed as i cant help scratching. can i use a triple cation cream to treat, if not, please do recommend something. i am 44 years old and my name is mykel

Hi,thanks for query.The better option would be to take an anti allergic tablet.Apply lotion like lacto calamine over the area to relieve itching.Drink plenty of fluids.Do not apply any other thing on this.Triple combination contains steroids in to it so at times it may add to the problem.

The itching and inflammation of skin due to insect bite is a sort of allergic reaction of your skin towards the bite of insects.The triple cream consists of a steroid as one part and that can help reduce the inflammation but if the skin becomes tender and inflammed the other contents can irritate the skin more.So the better option is to consult a doctor and get examined and a anti-allergic medicine prescribes and you will feel better in an hour or two.For immediate relief he may even give you a shot of cortisone (steroid)

hi
u have insect bite and PAPULAR URTICARIA due to it
u must consult dermatologist to treat it and prevention of the mark after it
u need to apply antibiotic cream for 3 days and after that apply combination of sterois and antibiotic cream
u need to take anti histamine and anti inflammatory medicine
wear full ,loose and cotton cloths
avoid using harsh soap like dettol ,sevlon .
u can use moisturizer soap
drink more water and avoid sour food.
