Is It Because Of My Tongue Ring That There Is Pain In My Tooth ?
i have had my tounge ring done for about a year now and i just recently put a new bar in, and when i woke up this morning my bottom teeth hurting really bad, is this caused by my tounge ring or just a random tooth ache? Please help!!

Please do not go for such procedures like tongue ring because this could lead to infection in your mouth.
It can also damage your lower anterior teeth.
Present pain might be due to infection there.i would suggest you to get it examined by your dentist.
Clinical evaluation can detect the cause if there is any associated redness o ulceration present .
Accordingly it can be treated.
meanwhile maintain good oral hygiene.

The pain may be due to the injury from the tongue ring inserted.
I would suggest you to get your teeth cleaned.
Also check the mucosa where the tongue ring has inserted.
please discontinue the use of such rings.
Apply mucopain ointment on the affected site.
Maintain good oral hygiene.
If there is bone loss,bone grafting can be done.
Take care.

I would encourage you to stop use of such practices.
Visit to a Dentist and get the checkup done.

TONGUE PIERCING cannot be related to the dental pain as you have been with the tongue ring for about an year now.
Tooth ache indicates bacterial decay or infection in the tooth that involves the exposed tooth nerve tissues .
such infected tooth needs to be treated by a root canal procedure so please consider getting the treatment done by consulting a dentist.
you may need an OPG radiographic examination done for your teeth to confirm the spread of infection or to rule out the exact cause of the pain.
Start with the course of antibiotic Augmentin 625mg along with analgesics like aceclofenac two times daily for 3 to 5 days .

Hello,
The placement of a tongue ring is not good for oral health. The tongue ring would strike on your teeth and cause periodontal problems of teeth which results in pain and sensitivity of teeth. Pl do get it removed and you can go for other cosmetic dentistry procedures like placement of tooth jewels.
