Is It Dangerous To Have Bleeding After Wax Removal?

Hi,

Yesterday I went to ENT doctor for my left ear check up as I was feeling ear is blocked for last seven day. Doctor after checking informed that there is impacted wax and requires to be cleaned.

He cleaned the ear which was really painful. After cleaning he mentioned that there may be few drops of blood wich may come out and advised to keep cotton for half an hour.

As mentioned by doctor, I same some red stains on the cotton last night. This morning also, I noticed some stains on the cotton.

Now I am able to hear properly. Pls let me know if slight bleeding post wax removal is danagerous

hello. sometimes when impacted wax is removed, the skin of the external auditory canal ( ear) may get damaged and bleed. dont worry it will heal in few days and the bleeding will stop by itself. just keep the ear dry , that is dont let water enter the ear and meet your ENT doctor for a check up in a weeks time. thanks
