Is It Dangerous To Leave The Lump Untreated For Long?
Hello
I had numbness and pain in my lower left leg and after an MRI scan I
have been diagnosed with a tumor approx 10cm x 4 x 3.. The pain is getting worse as the lump is pressing on nerves and numbness in the foot is spreading to te whole of the bottom of the foot.. At the moment I am waiting for operations dates etc and it looks like this could be weeks or months away.. My question is - is it dangerous to wait weeks or months for this type of lump removal operation?
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have large lump in your leg. It can be liopsarcoma, fibrosarcoma, malignant fibrous histiocytosis, malignant peripheral nerve sheeth tumour or some benign mass. You should go for wide excision of lump as early as possible. Don't wait too long for surgery. Because if it is malignant then chances of spread are there. So consult your doctor and plan accordingly. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
