Is It Good To Take Folic Acid During Early Pregnancy?

hello doctor,actually i am in my early days of pregnancy,but i have taken folic acid tablets i.p 5mg (VITAFOL)without consulting a doctor as i am yet to confirm my pregnancy.but i am scared that i have taken without consultation.is that harm in any way?please clarify my doubt.

In 1st trimester pregnant women can take folic acid...But u confirm ur pregnancy first & consult a gynaecologist
