Is It Harmful To Breastfeed After Abortion?

I already have my first kid, exactly one year old. I got my abortion done today morning. The kid is crying a lot for my milk. Doctor advised not to feed milk to my baby for two days. I can't see and I want to feed the baby with my milk. Please guide me whether any side effects will be there if I do it?

Hi, thanks for writing..
Medicines taken for abortion has serious side effects like gastric irritation, vomiting, cramping in the lower abdomen and some get diarrhoea.. The breast milk will have small amount of the medication which may reach the stomach of baby and baby may manifest with irritability.. So it would be better to avoid these medications for 2 days.. Also express off the milk if you are not feeding to prevent breast abscess.. Hope I have answered your query.. good day..
