Is It Harmful To Walk On The Leg With Bone Realignment?

I had a "bunionectomy" last Wednesday, 4/13, and my bones were re-alligned and 2 screws were put in. I'm not really suppose to be walking on it, but I have been, but I've been careful and put it up when I can. There has been no pain what so ever, and my follow up appointment on 4/18 was GREAT!! I'm concerned if I could actually be doing damage, even though nothing hurts.
