Is It Necessary To Undergo Xray Test For Damage In Chest And Kidney?

Hi, I slipped in the bath and banged by side. I can t take a deep breath without pain. I can t bend down or turn. It s killing me to drive, press the clutch etc. My urine seems darker too. It feels like my rib at the back is seriously damaged and my kidney too. It hurts to cough I can t sneeze! Should I get an xray. It s two days now and no better.

Hi,

I have gone through your query.
Symptoms you have mentioned are suggestive of injury at the back over the ribs. Urine is darker in colour and i assume that its not reddish. There might be musculoskeletal injury with or without rib fracture.
It is advised to go for a chest x-ray and urine test to rule out any fracture or trauma to kidney. In the meantime NSAIDs like ibuprofen can be taken to relieve pain.
