Is It Necessary To Wear Construction Stockings All The Time?

I have been told to wear construction stockings after an ultrasound.vvalves and superficial veins are gone. I wore them for a couple. Of months. Eventually damaging my hand and arm muscles. My lesgs aren t,t swollen what will happen if I don t,t wear them. I am 73 years old?

Hi,

Stockings are asked to be worn due to poor blood flow back to the heart from the veins in legs. If you don't wear them then there may be pooling of blood in your veins and it would cause pain and swelling of legs and feet. I recommend you to wear them and if you are not able to manage with it then you should consult your treating doctor for an alternative.
