Is It Normal For A Child To Have Swollen Eyes And A Soft, Swollen Nose Bridge Three Days After Getting Stitches On His Forehead?

My son got 4 stitches on the forehead 3 days ago. He is 10 years old. This morning he woke up with swollen eyes, especially the right eye. The nose bridge has been soft and a bit swollen since after being stiched. Is all this normal or must I return to the hospital?
